I noticed that even if you enter meta keywords like “My Keyword” when editing page, actual source code displays all keywords in lowercase (“my keyword” in this case). While it’s not a very big problem, I noticed plugin acts differently when non-English letters are used.

For example, if I enter keywords “My Keyword, ?ilas, Whatever”, source code displays meta keywords as – “my keyword, ?ilas, whatever”, which is very questionable. Can we use the same rule for both English and non-English letters, please?

We use the strtolower() PHP function, which apparently doesn’t work to all languages.
I wouldn’t worry about it though, since I doubt casing matters here. Also, keep in mind that Google, Bing, and Yahoo no longer use keywords.

As I earned living by doing greyhat/blackhat SEO for 10+ years and switched to “normal” stuff recently, there is no single person in the world who can convince me meta keywords have 0 effect ??

Anyways… What is the exact reason why you forcefully apply strtolower to keywords? Thanks.
