meta info in wordpress

The Custom Field Template plugin works well for me.

would it be possible for you to post a link to your site so I can see it working as I have read the plugin but am unsure how that will add meta details to the header?

I’m sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted. I thought you wanted a way to easily add meta info to posts and pages.

What type of meta data do you want to add to the header? Because the header is normally finished before any posts are retrieved, the post metadata is not usually available. If you want to add it to the header, you will need to add code, probably to header.php, to retrieve and display the data.

Hi yes I want to add meta details such as keywords and descriptions to each page I have seen several plugins that do this but none that are compatible with the latest wordpress.

so was wondering if anyone had used a plugin for this purpose.

Thanks I have tried that and works great for keywords and description but can’t see how I can change the title tag so I can add my own title per page as with my blog I am trying to keep the titles short and sweet but would like the page title to be longer.

You can have a different title and permalink, create the post or page with the shorter title and permalink, then just edit the title to the longer description.
