Meta description won’t work

    Meta description won’t work when sending Facebook link.
    I’ve used YOAST SEO to change meta description but it won’t update. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I have no cache plugins and disable cache on webhost server.

    Hi,

    Have you enabled Facebook Open Graph metadata in SEO > Social?

    Facebook may be caching URLs; this means they will not check your URLs for changes until their cache expires, though you may have made the correct changes in Yoast SEO. In order to force Facebook to clear the cache of a URL, please submit it to their Sharing Debugger and click the Scrape Again button several times. After you have done this, you can try sharing your URL on Facebook again and it should show the updated Open Graph tags.

    Thank you so much for this info, I learned something new!
    That seemed to have been the cause, it’s corrected now.
