Meta Description too long

TSF can generate longer descriptions depending on the site language. However, they shouldn’t exceed 200 characters; see https://tsf.fyi/kb/a/65#sequences-parser.

Could you share a link to the page affected? It’ll help me determine what’s wrong with the generation, but I think the description you found is coming from another plugin or theme, and we may need to address that instead. Thanks!

As I suspected, your website outputs multiple description tags and incorrect Open Graph data. That from The SEO Framework is correct.

You can see them when inspecting the source of your website. I added a line to the left of the source code, where the red line is of The SEO Framework, and the green line is from something else: https://i.imgur.com/rdy8lUB.png. Your mission is to remove that green part.

Looking at Avada’s source code, I think you can find the toggle on their settings page at “Advanced > Theme Features > Description And Open Graph Meta Tags.” I also recommend disabling all “Rich Snippets” toggles, which you should be able to find right underneath the ‘Open Graph’ toggle.

After that’s done, you should clear your site’s caches and wait for Google to stop reporting this issue. Let me know if you’ve found the toggles and cleared the caches, and I’ll take another look. Cheers!

The output looks good to me now.

While the “Rich Snippets” feature may conflict with The SEO Framework’s output, the “Blog Meta” options won’t. The “Blog Meta” options display additional ‘meta’ information about the post directly on your site; as far as I’m aware, they don’t output “meta tags.”
