Meta description output contains bad characters

    When I type something like “Camión” into the meta description in Yoast for any content, it outputs as: 

    <meta name="description" content="Cami&Atilde;&sup3;n." class="yoast-seo-meta-tag">

    I don’t need this html special tags conversion because my site already contains utf-8 headers.

    How can I disable this?

    Hello @alvarofranz,

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO. The plugin does not have a feature to disable HTML special tags conversion for the meta description.

    Hello Maybellyne, I appreciate your help. However, it would be great to understand why this is behaving incorrectly and what I can do to rectify it. I cannot utilize this feature if it doesn’t work properly. Thanks! ??
