Meta description not working

    For some reason the Meta description I have entered is not appearing correctly when i google my company. I have not changed it recently so i dont understand why this is the case. https://www.apis.de
    should say: “APIS IQ-Software ist das Referenzprodukt im Bereich FMEA, Risikoanalyse & Funktionale Sicherheit. Probieren Sie die Testversion für 60 Tage Kostenlos.”
    Instead it seems to be displaying text as if i had never filled out the meta description box:
    “APIS IQ-Software ist das Referenzprodukt im Bereich FMEA, Risikoanalyse & Funktionale Sicherheit. … APIS CARM-Server 4.65 – JULI 2016 … Unternehmen.”

    Please help. BTW, on my other website yoast seems to be working fine.

  • I am having the same problem. I saw one post that said another seo program is interfering but I don’t have another SEO. I’m wondering if there’s a default wordpress meta that needs to be disabled.???

    @haddlyapis Google uses the search term to highlight information in search results which is why the meta description is different than what you entered into the plugin.

    To see the meta title and description without search term manipulation, use the site search operator followed immediately by the URL of your site.
