I followed plugin’s suggestions with regards to number of characters but the meta description is still the old one.
Already tried deleting cache, waited a few hours then deleting the cache again but it didn’t help.
    What should I do next?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey, you can close this now. All I have to do is to have google search console to manually index each URL.

That’s a valid way to go about it, but quite tedious and mundane!

I recommend waiting a while for Google to crawl your URLs and fetch the latest data automatically ?? They constantly crawl your website to learn about changes. See https://www.google.com/search/howsearchworks/crawling-indexing/.

    Have a nice day!

For my site at pelicanmigration.com, some of the posts and pages meta description that i have given is not getting fetched by google. It is working when am trying with other SEO plugins. Need help here!

    Hi @vimalkb,

Search engines aren’t tethered to your website: Changes you make to your website can take minutes, hours, days, or sometimes even weeks to propagate. Requesting crawls or having a properly functioning sitemap, as explained in the link of my previous reply, can speed this up tremendously.

Often, when Google doesn’t output the “correct” information from the metadata, it’s because the metadata doesn’t conform to their guidelines. Please see them here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/appearance/good-titles-snippets.

It could also mean that your pages’ descriptions don’t match the query you’ve entered (exactly) in Google. Google can form “better” titles and snippets for you; this is often helpful but not always desired. To help achieve the result you aim for, we offer the optional (and premium) extension Focus.
