Meta Description not showing in Facebook

The meta description that I entered in the WordPress SEO section of my static homepage is showing up in search engines, however when linked to a Facebook post, all I get is “ …”. The URL is https://www.theappliquecircle.com and the correct description is in the meta tag when you view the source. Any ideas on why Facebook isn’t displaying the correct description?
