  • In the Yoast module, you now need to use the Snippet Editor located at the top. If you hover the mouse in the right-hand end of each field (page/post title, slug, meta description) you’ll see one of those pencil icons appear. Click on it and the field becomes editable.

Yes, I know this. Thanks. But this is not the problem, not so ago, one month or two ago, all Meta description works fine taking words from excerpths.
I tried to set this in Yoast, I went to Titles and Metas under the Post Types I added %%excerpt%% under Meta DEscription Template but this didn’t changed anything. Is there any way to set Excerpts as Meta Description?

Thanks in advance for your answer

I randomly checked some of your content and the front end shows a description. Facebook and Twitter validators also show descriptions.

If this happens on only some of your content, please provide a URL that is currently not working for further investigation.

That said, there is an open report for this issue happening in the edit screen for posts or pages. If you would like to follow the progress of the request, you can do that here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/5135

btw… a year or more ago, I uploaded one Excerpt plugin as our teme doesn’t had any field for excerpt at the bottom of the articles. After new versions of WP comes along, I try to deactivate plugin and excerpts were still there. So, plugins was deactivated for a long time and last month I decided to delete the plugin. It could be that this could be the reason for this mess. I uploaded this plugin again, but still nothing happened.
