I have a custom post type and I would like to edit the meta description. I don’t see anyway to do this through the backend settings or content meta editor screens.

Does the plugin come with a filter I can use to do this? For example, the equivalent filter in Yoast is: wpseo_metadesc

    Thanks

    Hi,

Not sure I understand well your request.
The meta fields should be displayed below the custom post type content or in the bulk meta content editor (you can filter by custom post type using the top left dropdown menu).

The meta fields are available for the individual pages in the places you state. However, they are not available for the archive page, the one that lists all the custom posts (see the url above). This is not a page in the sense that you can see it in the backend under Pages. It’s a WP generated page (like category, or date pages). So there is no way to add the meta data via the backend since it doesn’t appear in Pages, and does not show in bulk meta content editor. Yoast allows you to do this via the backend, and via a filter. I have not found any way to do this with your plugin, which is why I was hoping you have a filter or some other way to add this data. Thanks

    Hi,

I think I get what you mean.
You can setup the categories meta from the category view: https://goo.gl/uYyRvy
But for the custom post type (including WooCommerce) it’s only included in the PRO addon version.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers,
