Meta description doesn't correspond to back end parameters

Hi,
We recently discovered that the meta description on several articles of our website are all the same despite a specific configuration for each. IOW, when we take a look at the source of the articles on the front end, the meta description is always the same (and corresponds to the description of one of our articles). But each articles has its own text on the back end.
We took a look at the theme but we wouldn’t find any instruction overriding Yoast’s code.
