This is not inclusive to this site either. I’ve just come across the same issue on another site.

Pretty sure Yoast is buggin. I’m having the same problem, I’ve reported it, but no word yet.

I’m assuming that just because Yoast can’t recognize keywords anymore doesn’t mean that google can’t. Yoast is just a tool to help us spot what google wants to see, so as long as its there, I suspect you’re good. Yoast be damned. Knowwhatimean?

Yeah, I’m with you. It’s just annoying more than anything.

I cant see where one can edit Meta, or am i blind?

We have been having the same issue as well on three different WordPress sites. This issue has just recently surfaced.

The other issue is with the keyword not appearing in the subheading

You have not used your focus keyword in any subheading (such as an H2) in your copy.

Same issue, glad it’s not just me. Has anyone noticed that there are a few other bugs. Such as claiming that there are no images on a page or no outbound links?

All of this stuff seems to be totally random. I’ve gotten all the errors mentioned in this post at one time or another. All related to something supposedly not being present when it actually is. But then on the next 10 posts/pages, everything is fine. Plugin works as it should.

It would be nice if someone from Yoast would actually address this…

I have the same problem on all my websites. Lost a lot of time trying to figure it out. Now I am relieved it is not just me. Guess my sites are doing ok

You better re-check your meta description and the focus keyword. mine had an extra space and it was showing the same error.

I’m seeing the exact same thing since upgrading to Yoast SEO 3.x while using Mac Safari. I’ve tripled checked to make sure that my keywords and meta are exactly the same including spaces.

I have the same random issue. I’m also on Mac OS X (El Capitan) running Safari. I’ve tried messing with the preceding and following spaces around the keyword, and that seems to fix it. It has something to do with copy and paste (at least on a Mac). I can’t really find a pattern. I get the meta tag notice as well as the heading notice.

Manually replace the spaces between long tail keyword (in the keyword field, and then in the places where it says it isn’t registering) and you’ll likely find it jogs into place.

I’d like a solution for this that perhaps was more lenient on the ASCII space character used (assuming that’s the issue).

what would be nice is one of the actually admins or tech guys for this plugin chime in and deal with this

I am not a developer. i tried to enter a focus keyword and the page does not allow me to. In the past i could enter a FKW.

    please help
