    Hi,

I have just installed your plugin and changed the Meta description of the page of my website. But my website is not showing with the text I have updated in the meta description.

Hopefully you can help me out.

    Thanks,
    Hazy

    Hello @hazy23

On viewing the page source for https://troostinbeeld.nl/, the meta description shows as:

<meta name="description" content="Uitvaartfotograaf - Afscheidsfotograaf in Hilversum - Beelden houden de herinnering levend. Foto’s van een uitvaart kunnen veel troost geven en helpen in het rouwproces." />

Does this match what you have entered in the plugin as the meta description?

    Hi Maybellyne ,

Yes, this is what it should be. But it is not what’s showing in google though.

    Regards,
    Hazel

@hazy23 There are several possible reasons that the meta description that is showing in Google’s search results are different from what you’ve set in the plugin such as an incorrect description in the code, cached results, search term manipulation, or Google chose to ignore the preferred meta description. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/help/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/
