Meta-Desc character limit on WP dashboard

    Hi!

    On WP Dashboard Screen, when we display the list of posts, the YOAST SEO Meta-Desc column always shows all the content of that field.

    Is there a way (filter?) to limit the number of characters displayed in this column only?

  • Hi @jrvcosta,

    If you’re seeing the meta description column, you can control which columns appear by clicking the “Screen Options” tab in the top right corner of the screen. If you uncheck the Meta description column, does this hide the field from the posts list?

    Yes, I mean the meta description column.
    But I don’t want to hide it.
    I want to limit the amount of characters displayed.

    @jrvcosta Thanks for your reply and we apologize for the confusion. Regarding your question, we’re sorry but no, there is not a feature built into the plugin that allows you to modify the number of characters displayed for the meta description column.
