Meta Data not showing correctly

We have made no changes to our site but our rankings just plummeted after the last core update. I notice our Meta data is now show correctly when search for our business.

But when I search for site:oursite.com in Google, the meta description shows up just fine.

Our site is optimized better than any of our competition (pure whitehat). But we lost rankings big time, overnight, and don’t know why. I fear this meta data issue may be somewhat at fault. Can you help us figure out what is going on.
