    Hi russelldc,

    The gift certificate has a unique number on it. To redeem it, the person who holds the gift certificate goes to the site where the buyer purchased it, clicks on a PayPal Buy Now or Shopping Cart button. And at checkout they have the option to enter the gift certificate number.

    The gift certificate ids and amounts are not stored in the WordPress DB at all. And I don’t believe they are capable of being captured in the IPN; as PayPal sees this as a security concern.
