Does Wordfence interfere with the html settings? I’m trying to get a code to work and I put it in the head and it’s on my site but it’s not working. It’s used to verify my site for so I can put ads on my site.

    Hi @autumn00,

In some cases, Wordfence may block the action of a plugin that updates META content. However, I took a look at your other topic, and in your case, the code was manually added to the header.php file. I checked the HTML for the domain you linked and I do see the META tag in place. This is not being blocked by Wordfence.

Instead, it is possible that when AdMaven tries to verify, their bot may be blocked. You can check this by keeping an eye on the Live Traffic log in Tools > Live Traffic while trying to verify. If any new blocks appear there, you can click on the block listing to view details on why the block occurred. Please feel free to share a screenshot of the block here so we can take a closer look.

If you don’t see any new blocks listed in the Live Traffic log when you attempt to verify the META tag, I recommend reaching out to AdMaven’s support to see what kind of response they’re getting when trying to verify.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

Hi @wfmargaret. I checked the live traffic and I did not see any blocks. Idk what happened it used to work. Now since I added Wordfence it doesn’t work anymore. Now anytime I have to add a code to the header it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work anywhere I place it. Does Wordfence change any settings that would prevent the codes from working? The codes don’t work on my other site and it’s not a WordPress site. I tried everything.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Hi @autumn00,

Thanks for following up. Wordfence doesn’t change any settings that would prevent the META tag from working. You can temporarily disable Wordfence and then try verifying again. If the verification is still failing, the issue is unrelated to Wordfence.

Please let me know if you’re able to successfully verify the site when Wordfence is disabled.

    Thanks,
    Margaret
