Messy Code

  • Awesome at first glance, but the generated markup is really messy. Empty divs with 1×1-Pixel PNGs as “spacers”, Inline styles, … unusable for HTML-purists.

    Hello Arne, and thank you for your feedback.

    I would like to hear how would you implement the WYSIWYG mechanism in editor without using inline styles? And how would you enable custom dimensions for each column in multiple column holders?

    And talking about 1×1 pixel PNG, don’t forget the stupid Internet Explorer issues (older IE versions) ??

    Speaking of inline styles, I could generate css dynamically on the fly but still I will have to identify each of the column holders and columns somehow right, e.g. via custom attributes, but would it make any difference? ??

    Someone will say it’s messy, class names are not intuitive etc. ??

    Anyway, as Morpheus said: “What happened, happened, and couldn’t have happened any other way.”, and I would really like to hear your feedback. ??
