• I enabled the plugin to use on POSTS while leaving pages using Gutenberg. However, after enabling the plugin, all of the columns on the pages get messed up. I have unchecked the box for “disable for pages”.

Glad to help. I’m not sure what is happening in this case, but can tell you that DG doesn’t affect anything on the post/page itself; it only determines which editor is loaded: the Classic Editor or the Block Editor. Once the page has loaded, the plugin does not affect any post/page elements.

That said, if you experience any issues with DG, simply disable it and try the Classic Editor or some other way to disable Gutenberg.

Let me know if I can provide any further infos, glad to help however possible.

I’m experiencing this as well. I only have disabled Gutenberg on a particular page template, but my default pages with columns are converting to single column. Deactivating this plugin corrects the issue.

Thanks for the infos, will investigate this next update. Some questions for anyone who has this issue:

    • What are you using to add the columns to posts/pages
    • Which theme are you using

That will enable me to test further and try to resolve, thank you.

Having same problem, columns appearing in single column, underneath each other, I’m using gutenberg for columns. When I disable your plugin the columns revert to the correct layout, i.e. 2 columns. I’m using Generatepress Pro.

    Thanks

@ictsource thanks for the infos. So just to be clear the theme you are using is Generatepress Pro, which also provides page-building tools, correct?

Yes Generatepress Pro, it can do simple sections, but they’re not activated, I prefer to use Gutenberg which I think is a better way forward hopefully.

Okay I will take a look and see if there is anything that can be done. Thank you for the feedback, ictsource.

If I activate classic editor, the columns work OK. Hope this helps.

Could it be an issue with Gutenberg then? When Gutenberg is enabled and my plugin disabled, does the bug persist?

No with Gutenberg enabled and your plugin disabled it is working with 2 columns as expected.

Thanks. Is there is a free version of Generatepress Pro, I should be able to repeat the issue and get resolved for the next plugin update.

Not that I’m aware of, but the develop is very helpful.

Yeah I won’t be able to test without a copy. I will try asking the developer. Thanks.

Just to follow up with this, there is no free version of GeneratePress plugin, so that pretty much concludes the investigation. Not much I can do without actually being able to replicate the described issue. So gonna mark this thread as resolved to keep things organized, but please feel free to post again if any further infos or clues. Thanks.
