    Hi,

I have Post SMTP setup nicely with Gmail API and it all works fine except whenever I receive an email to my default user email address it gets automatically marked as read and archived.

I tried changing the address to different ones (gmail.com, different Google Workspace address) and they all work fine. I also have a filter that labels the incoming messages to this address so I tried disabling it, but it didn’t help. Other users in WP don’t have this problem.

The only address that receives messages as read and archived is my own. One thing worth mentioning is that this is the default email address I used to install WordPress. My guess is this is the reason why the plugin treats it differently.

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

    Thank you.

    Hi @kejatz ,

Hope you are doing good. Thanks for reaching out to our support. Regarding your query, you (or someone with access to your inbox) have made some settings for you to trigger these events.

With a quick exploration, I was able to find one related topic

I suggest you reverse-engineer the solution mentioned in this thread.

Thank you very much for your reply. For two weeks I’ve been trying to find a solution and thanks to your suggestion I accidentally figured out that I never added the email address to the “Send mail as” section in Gmail settings, which was the reason for all this.
