Message WordPress 3.0.3 is available! = back

  • Hi,

    I upgraded manually from 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 some days ago. (Wrong way… only the four files) Although everything seemed fine at that moment.

    Now, 4 days later suddenly the message ‘WordPress 3.0.3 is available! Please update now’ is back again.

    To resolve I upgraded manually completely (as usual – deleting completely the old directories and files), but still the messages is there.

    The version.php file seems OK

    Anybody has any idea?

    keeps returning. At the same time it shows in the dashboard correctly

    You are using WordPress 3.0.3.

    Not a big problem.

    Besides this I discovered that this message / warning was because of the release of the Dutch version of 3.0.3 Although I was running allready on the international English/American 3.0.3 version! Perhaps good to know for others that this was the issue…

    So resolved!
