• Within a day of authenticating with Google Analytics, the plugin displays this message, asking to “reauthenticate”:

“It seems the authentication for the plugin has expired or the connection to Google Analytics is blocked, please try re-authenticating with Google Analytics to allow the plugin to fetch data.”

How can “the connection to Google Analytics” be blocked? I am not consciously blocking it in my .htaccess, so why do I get this message?

    Hi there,
Blocking of Google Analytics can be done in a multitude of ways:
    – Your hosting provider has an issue with the cURL setup, which the Google Analytics library relies on to fetch statistics after the first authentication.
    – Your site has defined the constant for site blacklist in the wp-config file, and in this array is Google Analytics.
    – The access token that MonsterInsights was issued has expired or was unable to be refreshed.
    – The Google account access MonsterInsights requested at oAuth has since been revoked.
    – Another plugin is affecting the ability for MonsterInsights to communicate with Google Analytics.
    – Google Analytics has throttled or blocked your account from accessing their API.
    – You’ve authenticated to more than 50 or 30 (depending on the Google account) websites using MonsterInsights.
    – The account, property or view MonsterInsights was set to use has since been trashed, deleted or the access to the user was limited to below what is required to request statistics.
    – Your hosting provider has a firewall that prevents connections to Google Analyics.

The best way to resolve this is to get in contact with us at monsterinsights.com/contact via the presale form. We can generally pinpoint the issue and resolve it rather quickly
