    I’m seeing the following message on the dashboard of an old site that I’m trying to update:

    WooCommerce database update required

    WooCommerce has been updated! To keep things running smoothly, we have to update your database to the newest version. The database update process runs in the background and may take a little while, so please be patient. Advanced users can alternatively update via WP CLI.

    The system is using WooCommerce version 6.6.1, which is not the latest version. Can anyone tell me whether I need to update the database or the WooCommerce plugin first? Does it matter which one I update first?
