Message board integration?

Hi!

I’m looking for a way to implement a message board in WordPress that has a few free forums as well as a private forum for people who have paid for a premium membership using PMP.

I’ve tried a few message board plugins, most recently Mingle, but they either don’t seem to have that kind of functionality at all, or their permissions are limited to the standard Author/Contributor/Subscriber rather than the PMP membership levels.

Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

What we do is install Paid Memberships Pro and bbPress. Then setup all of the forums in bbPress as “public” and use custom code like this () to lock them down.
