Message Availability on Multisite

I can activate the plugin on different sites in the Multisite, and they manage users okay; however, any messages that a user sends on 1 site show up on every site because there is only 1 message table for the database (not 1 per site).

Is the intended behavior? Would you consider a fix by using blog prefixed db tables instead of the multisite table?
