    Hi there

I am using Easy Forms and GDPR Compliance plugins.
Great plugins… Just about got everything to do what I want.

I understand that the GDPR API is not working.

I have setup a merge field in my Mailchimp list called
    Field GDPR Optin
    GDPR
    or
    *|MERGE2|*

    In the wordpress form settings
Save Checkbox Opt-In as a Merge Field
    It now shows
    GDPR Optin

What should I place in the
    Merge Field Opt-In Value
Enter what should be saved in the merge field chosen above.

And does this then add a value to my list in Mailchimp?
I would like the merge field to say yes.

Email Address First Name GDPR – Optin

Hope this makes sense and thank you.

    Hi @wordpressforumhelp,

It’s a huge relief to hear that our plugins are satisfying the GDPR needs! We’re really hoping we’ve put enough into these plugins and released them early enough so that folks can be confident they’re compliant.

What should I place in the
    Merge Field Opt-In Value
Enter what should be saved in the merge field chosen above.

You can put what ever you’d like! This value will be saved along with your subscriber’s information. I think “yes” is a perfect value.

Then you can do segmentation and other logic based on all of your subscriber’s whose GDPR - Optin value equals yes.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin

    Thanks for the response…

I’ve answered my question out of my own stupidity…

The list that it connects to will only show people who have opted in anyway.
If they don’t tick the box, they can’t proceed ??

    Good luck with the plugins.

    Thanks
