Merchant not enabled for reference transactions

    Hello again! Im getting an error email about Reference Transactions, however, none of my products are recurring and Im not using any other method than Paypal Express. Can you tell me what’s happening? THanks!

    SetExpressCheckout API call failed. Error Code: 11452 Error Severity Code: Error Short Error Message: Merchant not enabled for reference transactions Detailed Error Message: Merchant not enabled for reference transactions User IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xx

    Oh I had “Enable Tokenized Payments” enabled. Was that it?

    Well, enabling tokenized payments would add the option to save the payment method during checkout, and if this was done that’s when you would need reference transactions enabled on the account.

    So it would have taken that additional step, but yeah, simply disabling tokenized payments in Express Checkout should solve that. Please give it a try and let me know if you continue to have problems.
