Menus won't update when using Chrome
-
I am having an issue when using the most recent version of Chrome. I believe it is a caching issue, but can’t seem to figure out how to fix it.
When trying to edit or add new items to the site menu, after I have been working on the site for awhile, the menu will not save how I have ordered it and anything new I have added will be saved to the top level. If I rearrange and try to save, again it just moves any new stuff to the top level.
I don’t have this issue in Firefox or Safari, only Chrome. I really like Chrome so I want to keep using it!
Some facts:
- I work for a company making sites. We have a “common” theme that goes across all sites and has several features that we have designed and plugins that go with it. Therefore I cannot turn off WordPress plugins to see if that is the issue
- I am the only one in the organization that has this issue. Others that do things on the same sites I do, do not have this issue in Chrome
- I am using a macbook pro (most recent one Apple came out with) that is fully up to date
- The problem fixes itself when I restart my computer or I use CCleaner to clear the cache (it doesn’t work if I just clear the cache within Chrome itself or reload the cache in WordPress).
- I got my mac very recently, prior to that I was using Windows and never had this issue.
My next step is to try disabling Chrome plugins to make sure that isn’t related – but I am using all the same ones I was using on Windows, so if it is, it must be a mac issue? But I appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
