• WP 4.9.5, WP Super Cache 1.5.9

I removed a widget and then clicked Delete Cache from the top menubar, but non-logged in users were still seeing the widget (and I could confirm it by viewing with a different browser). I tried clicking Delete Cache a few times, forced refresh on browser, still the widget appeared. Finally, I went to Settings > WP Super Cache > Contents, and clicked “Delete Cache” (it showed 24 Cached pages under wp-super-cache). After doing this, the widget disappeared.

Is this a bug, or a feature? (i.e. is Delete Cache supposed to do anything, from the top menubar?)

    Thanks!

  • Try going in to Settings -> WP Super Cache and go to the Contents tab. There’s a button on there “Delete Cache.” Click on that and see how that works for you. That’s what I had to do…

@mbazian, thanks for trying to help, but what you suggested is already in my post — yes, that is what I already did to clear the cache. It’s the only way that works — using Delete Cache under Contents. The “Delete Cache” button in the menubar doesn’t work, but it should work (or why have it there?). I hope Automattic sees this.

Woops. I missed that… I am not sure of the purpose of that button. I got in to the same mistake loop you did until I figured it out and then I have ignored it…
