Menu – UM Page Access Permissions NOT Saving

  • Our UM suddenly will not save permission access settings when we add to main site menu. All user roles show, but we can not save the setting once selected. It just returns as the same setting. We tried deactivation, reactivation, cache clearing, etc. but no luck.

    Anyone Help?

    Hi @voicetoons,

    Do you mean you can’t save settings in Appearance -> Menus section?
    Can you please try to increase max_input_vars to 3000, if you are not sure how to do it please contact your hosting provider and ask for help. Alternatively, you can try to add this string php_value max_input_vars 3000 to your .htaccess file on your server, however, this may not work so, remove this string if your site goes down.

    Unclear what you mean but this is what we mean…

    1) We add a page to the WP menu, and then save the menu.
    2) We expand the menu item and try to set / check the UM permission settings.
    (e.g. friend – user – member – admin and check who can access page)
    3) We then click save and menu does not update or set the UM permissions set.

    The issue menu items do not save the UM permissions or access set for menu items.
    Worked fine in past.

    Any further thoughts here on this? Still can not assign who can see certain pages in menu using UM. Please help…driving us crazy.

    Hi will you help us resolve this matter? Is no one else having this issue after upgrade to WP 4.8?
