When I edit a menu and save it, some translations are not saved, or are forgotten (but were saved before).

To illustrate I have four items. After adding the fourth item I noticed the first one was no longer translated. I updated the first item with the translation and after that, items 3 and 4 had forgotten their translations. I updated them again … I could go on like that all night, there would be allways at least one item without translation.

The item 2 is a custom post type link added with the Post type archive links plugin It could have something to do with that I assume.

    Thanks and regards, Greg

UPDATE: It has nothing to do with custom post types or archive links. The problem persists even id I remove that link.

Could someone look into that? Thanks.

I can not reproduce your issue on my test site.
Please, try activate standard theme, e.g. 2016 and to check

I have the same problem, after editing the menu strange things are happening. Some translation are missing, some are only in one language.
When I checked the database for menu position there was as the same as on GUI. So I think there is a problem with saving modifications to menu in wordpress. When I correct them directly in database – then everything is ok.

I had the same problem after I upgraded to WordPress 4.5.1. After a few times I downgraded my WordPress back to 4.4.2 and everything is fine. So I think there is some compatibility issue here between the pligun and WordPress 4.5. FYI the languages I am using are Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English.

Still trying to reproduce the problem on our servers…

Could you please open the browser console (usually it’s F12) and check if there are any errors reported there?

We tried very hard reproducing the problem with all combinations of languages, under the latest WordPress. So far, “no luck”: everything works fine under Appearance->Menus.

    Thank you!

If you have troubles with saving menu items at
    yoursite/wp-admin/nav-menus.php page
you can use customizer with raw data ( with delimitires ) to update menu item title

I can also confirm. WPGlobus 1.5.3 and WordPress 4.5.2. Languages Serbian(default), Slovenian and English.

It started two days ago, just after I updated wp and all plugins. Any help would be more than welcome.

    Thanks a lot!

As I had to finish the project and had little time I just edited the strings in the DB directly. But now, I know I’ll be able to edit the menu normally in the future.
