I’ve looked everywhere, i just can’t find how to translate the menu items (labels).
    Any idea?

  • Hi hmdadou, when you are editing menu, is your screen like the following picture? Menu Translation Example. (See the bottom-right part, the “Deutsch” & “中文” tabs are the controls for menu item translation). Thanks!

Thanks clive , no it doesn’t show that’s what i was looking for.

    Best regards

Hi hmdadou, maybe you have a plugin which also changes the Menu editor, and it conflicts with More-Lang. You can try this way: deactivate the suspected plugins, if More-Lang is back, translate the menu items, then activate the suspected plugins. And could you list the relative plugins activated on your server?
    Thanks & regards!

    Thanks Clive

You’re right one of the plugins if activated the menu translation won’t work.
the plugin in question is WP User Frontend Pro but not WP User Frontend.

Among all the plugins installed and have no problem with more-lang plugin are:
elementor,Capability Manager Enhanced, Classic Editor, iThemes Security Pro, Widget Shortcode.
I will try to debug further in order to keep the menu translation working without deactivating any other plugins.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

    Hi Clive
Is there a way we could use the shortcode for the language such as [en]Hello[/en] [fr]Salut[/fr].
If this feature exists it would be really a bonus and definetly a 5 star for the plugin.

    Best regards

    Hi Hmdadou,
Thanks for your information. I will add the above workaround to the documentation. And regarding your “shortcode” suggestion, it’s good, but I think it’s not appropriate to be added into the basic More-Lang. I might write a free add-on plugin to do the “shortcode” processing, but currently I don’t have the time, maybe I will do it 1~3 months later.
    Best regards!

    Hi Hmdadou,
A new plugin More-Lang Special was released, which can resolve your issue: More-Lang Special download page
Currently, the ‘|||’ is used as the delimiter, and a menu item “Special” is added under “More-Lang”.
You can check if it’s useful to you.
    Thanks!
