Menu text not fitting into menu bar

My Menu bar is not holding all the text (list of pages)
It is located in the header image at the top inside a coloured overlay
When the first line of thhe menu bar is full instead of resizing the overlay section, the second line of menu pages is displaying on top of the header image and outside the overlay and looks terrible. Does anyone know how to make this automatically resize or how to resize the menu bar text
