Menu structure, Widgets

  • I’m having some major bugs in my by-scratch theme.

    1) I have it set up in the menu option so that the forum sections would be under/dropdown from the Forums section of the menu, yet all the links show up. I also don’t have any checkboxes below whether it’s a main or side menu.

    2) I’m attempting to make it so that I could use widgets with the theme, but no matter which guide I use (like https://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/ for example), when I update the theme and check for results, I wind up with the Error/This Site is Experiencing Difficulties message.

    I would like to include widgets to be able to use certain plugins like Holiday Logo up in the header or wherever.

  • I can’t find any info on your ‘by-scratch’ theme but I’d suggest contacting that person or company for help with their theme.

    By ‘by-scratch’, I mean that I’m piecing the theme together by scratch, as in, it’s not a premade theme, I simply combined a few theme tutorials to put together what I have now.

    So I can’t contact the person/company of the theme, because I AM that person.
