Menu Size and Alignment

I am having some trouble changing some of the formatting for the menu. We would like to change the menu. Specifically we are looking to change the colour of the text from the current grey to white and then to have the background changed to black. We also want to make it centred rather than right aligned. Is there a way for us to do this?
