Menu problem after 3.8 update – Canvas theme

  • All menu related problems.

    I add a page to the menu and after saving instead of being a page it automatically becomes a custom link therefore doesn’t open.

    Also on Edit Menus/ Manage Locations it forgets my choices each time so when say I add a page and then look at the site I get a Primary navigation with all the menu items added and no nesting. So I then have to go back to Manage Locations and choose, once again my Primary and Top Menus.

    Have tried de-activating all menus and changing the theme but to no effect.

    Bluehost have recently upgraded my blog sites (3) to 5.4 from 5.2. Might this have affected the functioning of the menu though it just seems to be a problem on one https://www.helmsley.info

    Even I am facing exactly the same issue in my tempera theme. When I categories to the menu and save it automatically vanished and every time I have select the menu under navigation, as it forgets again. Hooooof… Please guide My hosting company is Bluehost. I never made any changes to its any version.

    I am also experiencing similar problems with our drop-down navigation menu after the 3.8 / 3.8.1 WP update. I’m using the Woo theme, Memorable. I have painstakingly eliminated any plugin conflict, and am running PHP 5.3.26, and MySQL 5.5.34-cll with plenty of RAM allocated.

    Our issue is only with logged in users so I haven’t provided a link since that wouldn’t help. Problem only occurs on an iPad or tablet—no problem on desktop browsers.

    If logged in on an iPad, top-level menu items immediately redirect rather than keep the sub-menu open to elect items. After that happens once, menus will stay open but items do not redirect when clicked.

    I have submitted a Woo support ticket and am awaiting feedback. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I’m sorry but if you are using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from www.remarpro.com here.

    I’m having problems with the drop down menu as well.
    The menu was working fine.
    I then upgraded the wordpress, and did some content update.
    then I found that the menu is not working.
    I deactivated all the plugins. No difference.
    the menu works fine with the Twenty Ten theme.
    but when I switch back to my own theme, it still does not work.
