menu problem

I am having a menu problem. WP is inserting page titles in menu list by default. I tried exclude parameters but it is not working. I am inputing page order numbers. Could I input page title instead? Also I have instaled Page Exclude plugin but it is not working. It works only when a page is created if I have understood correctly. Does anyone have an advice or maybe care to take a look?
