    I did figure out how to move the menu using the Theme’s built in settings, but for learning purposes, is there a way to do so in the header.php file?

    Yes, generally you can move elements in the header.php file – but that kind of change should be done in a child theme so that the changes won’t be overwritten when the theme is updated.
