Menu Option not visible while others with same settings are

  • Hi there,

    I have an admin menu option (for a shopping cart orders) that is not visible for Editor user roles even though it has the same settings as other menu options (e.g. Required capability = edit_posts) set up a while ago that are visible for Editors.

    Menu title: Cart Orders

    Target page: Cart Orders

    URL: edit.php?post_type=wpsc_cart_orders

    Required capability : edit_posts

    Extra capability :

    It might have something to do with the plugin that created the menu. Some plugins check the user’s role or other permissions before adding a menu item. If the plugin in question is programmed to only show this menu item to users who have the “Administrator” role, changing capabilities and menu settings won’t do anything.

    Maybe you could try asking the plugin author about it?
