    Hi all,

I’ve got a general and a more specific question about the menu display on mobile devices.
In general: is it normal the once you’ve toggled the menu all menu items display, including the sub-menu’s? It makes for rather a long list and doesn’t look very nice.
More specific: if they all should be showing, is there a way to distinguish between sub-menu’s and the subs of sub-menu’s?

I’m using the 2012 theme with Acessible-onetwo as a child theme. I’ve moved the main menu to the left (client request). Website: https://annemariemaes.net

Hope someone can help. TIA, danielle.

What happens if you use the unedited parent theme?

    Hi esmi,

The result is the same. Collapsed menu’s.
    Is this the default behaviour?

    Thanks, danielle

What mobile device are you using to test this?

An older Android phone and resized web pages in the desktop firefox browser. Best, d

Ah… Possibly not the best real life testing then? I don’t have an old Android to test on but the menus definitely should not all dropdown in the way that you describe. Unfortunately, I’m not able to determine whether this is an issue in the theme or with older androids. My money is on the latter given that the original 2012 theme just uses pure CSS to create the dropdowns in the first place.

    Hi esmi,
Did you open the link https://annemariemaes.net on you phone? Could you please take a look? How does it display with you?

My client also has the same problem on her modern iPhone. And I use the Web developer toolbar for Firefox to test responsive layouts and it has the same issues.

I did tweak the menu position, as I explained earlier. But apart from that and a few colour changes I don’t recall altering drastic things in the CSS.

Do you have any clue where to look in the CSS to solve this issue?

Thanks very much in advance. d

I don’t have an Android phone. I have Firefox one.

But still, how does it look? Do you get the expanded menu? As this problem also appears on iPhone I’m curious to know how it behaves. Thanks.
In my PC version of FireFox I also get the expanded menu’s when I view at a small resolution.

    Best, d
