The plugin works as intended when used directly on a page or post. Thanks for that!

It would be way more useful, when I could create a menu as a reusable Gutenberg Block Pattern and past in into pages and posts. Unfortunately, this seems not to work.

I tried it with two Block Pattern plugins:
    – Control Block Patterns
    – Custom Block Patterns

What I see on the website is this warning:

Warning: Undefined array key “id” in /…/wp-content/plugins/getwid-megamenu/includes/blocks/PlainMenuItem.php on line 40

Together with a rather long call stack.

Below the warning comes the menu which works as intended. But its not usable with the WARNING on the page.

Thanks a lot for the plugin and your support!

    PS
Sorry, I have no link yet as I develop locally.

    Hello there.

Please be informed that we were not able to replicate the issue locally. We tried the Custom Block Patterns plugin but haven’t faced any warnings. So I suggest you temporarily deactivate other installed plugins to check if some of them are causing the warning to appear.

This issue is current and developer needs to take a closer look. Just because you cannot replicate or can’t see it locally, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen and it’s not there. And it seems recent.

I just upgraded to WP 6, added this plugin, and like others have reported, got the message “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” This happens in Full Site Editor, header area, where most menus are located.

However, the plugin works if Mega Menu block is added inside the content of a page. You have to do all edits inside a page, save, then go back to Full Site Editor and move the block from the page/content area to the header. This will still show the error message in the Full Site Editor, but will render the menu on the front end.

If you decide to go with this plugin, please note – this Mega Menu block is not meant to integrate with existing menus on site, it is just a block type where you add links manually, which may be counterproductive when you have a page-heavy site. Links have to be pre-existing, leaving it blank does not work. The benefits are that it does provide width adjustments for the overall block and it does stay where you place it. Not many styling possibilities yet, but I think it is a good start in the right direction.

Tried this with Max Mega Menu and Mobile Menu plugins deactivated, and still got the error, so it’s not a conflict with those two plugins.

    Hello @shkembechorba

I would like to inform you that I managed to reproduce the issue in Full Site Editor, and I already informed our developers for them to take a look at it. So I hope that the issue will be resolved as soon as possible. But also I would like to say that this issue doesn’t seem to be related to the one that @alxwp has asked about, which I wasn’t able to replicate locally.
