Menu not working / widget hyperlinks not working

My home page is broken. When the slider loads, the menu doesn’t work on the home page and half the hyperlinks (social media included) don’t work on the side bar widgets.

Frustrated, I deleted and reinstalled Athena. I’ve emptied cache repeatedly. Nothing is fixing this problem.

Before I leave Athena for a new theme, I want to find out if there is an easy way to fix this as a blog without a menu on the homepage is relatively useless!!!
