    Hi,

First of all, thanks for such a great plugin!

I’m having issues which were reported to have been fixed in version 2.8.5 (I’m running 2.8.7) – namely the menu not opening on first click. We’re running it on a theme, and the issue can be seen on the theme’s demo site – https://polytechnic.themeisland.net/ . I’ve tried virtually all combinations of options in the Technical Settings section of the admin, but to no avail.

It seems the ‘display: block;’ is not added inline to the #responsive-menu element on the first click.

Can you help? Would love to get this fixed, spent all day searching but no luck!

    Many thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the kind words in regards the plugin, they are much appreciated!

I have just checked on my laptop (Firefox running on Ubuntu Linux) and my mobile (iPhone 6) and both worked first time for me without issue.

Can you please tell me what device, browser, OS etc. you are using and whether the menu at my website responsive.menu works ok for you?

    All the best

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back so soon. I’ve just tested across a few browsers, here are the results:

    WORKS IN:

    • Firefox
    • Safari 5.1.7 (for Win)
    • Safari on iPhone 4S

    DOESN’T WORK IN:

    • Chrome 49.0.2623.112
    • Chrome 48 on Mac OSX
    • Canary 51.0.2702.2
    • MS Edge 25.1086.0.0
    • Chrome 48 on Galaxy S4 (Android 5.0.1)

All those without a stated device were tested with Windows 10 10586.164 (64-bit).

    Thanks again!

    Hi there,

I can see it is trying to pop out but something stops it which would suggest that there is some JavaScript on your site that may be interfering with my plugin.

Can you try my website (responsive.menu) and let me know if you have the issue on there as if not it would suggest it is something specific to your site so you may need to get your web developer to investigate it further.

The only thing I can offer is that I have compared it to other sites I have it running on and yours adds extra styles to the “#responsive-menu” element so you will need to find out what is causing this and either remove it or edit it.

In fact I have just looked further and it adds “left: 0px;” which means it will never show up – clicking it again removes this so that is the issue.

    All the best
