    Hi

Been using this great plugin for a while on our latest website, however upon going live (and transferring the site to its final live domain) the plugin seems to be confused.

I have some logic on the main menu to show/hide items depending on whether users are logged in or not, plus login and out buttons at the end. But none of the logic works now and it shows everything as if I was logged in all the time.

Any help with this issue would be hugely appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Juan

@atebjuan – Sorry to hear that. I’m not seeing them on the home page just now, not sure if the problem is still visible for you or not.

My first guess would be caching in general. Maybe needs purging after the move.

Second part of that is if you use overly agressive browser cache settings it can cause it to not change immediately after logging in and hitting the back button to a previously cached page.

That is to say the users local browser cache, not “page cache” on your site. Many plugin’s do not even offer this setting any longer, but you can set the browser to cache a pages html for say 12 hours. But in the case where the page html should change over time, that is not advisable setting to enable. But something worth checking that it isn’t part of the problem.

I’d also just for sanity sake, double check the menu item settings to make sure they got imported/migrated 100%.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Daniel. I had to take them out as the site is live now and they weren’t working but if you want to have a look at them I can put them back on.

I have a mirror site for development, which still has them on ( members.ateb-group.co.uk ), and it works perfectly in there. That’s the most puzzling part, so I don’t think it’s a browser cache issue. The menu settings were the same exactly too. It’s been driving me insane all day.

Just to let you know that I resolved the issue by turning off WordPress Menu Cache.
