It’s a nice theme, I have the latest version.

The title says it all really.

It displays nicely, expands as it should, but you press any second level link with your finger, then the menu closes and nothing happens.

I have tested it on my windows phone 8.1, someone else has tested it on windows phone 10, and also tested it on a windows phone emulator. All the same, not working.

Oh, btw I have tested it with Edge, Firefox and Chrome on the desktop, made the browser width really small and that works fine.

    Hi there,

That’s strange – what browser on the phone?

Can you link me to your site?

    Howdy

Its Internet Explorer Mobile Version. Does not seem to have a version number. Does not seem to have any debugging tools.

I don’t want to give out my website address. So I tested https://demo.generatepress.com/ and you have two menus on the page. A black one with white text on top which is the one not working.

And a white one with black text which works okay (pops out from the side).

Let me know if you need anything else.

It is any element under the More link, and More itself, but the down arrow works fine.

Oh and I googled the browser version. Its IE 11 https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn736066(v=vs.85).aspx

The difference seems to be target=”_blank” although I can’t seem to find where it is defined in the theme.

Is there any progress on this?

Sorry – WP.org didn’t notify me of these replies.

What if you use Chrome on your phone? Same issue?

    Thread Starter hypodyne

    (@hypodyne)

Not sure about chrome and since the site is for windows apps including phone apps I can’t really tell them when you visit my site use chrome.

I did find that the simulator uses the edge browser and the menu does not work with that either.

Can you give me some information on where I would look for the issue. I did not see anything menu related when I looked at your theme in the editor. Are you using a built in menu?

    thanks

So it’s not possible to check using Chrome on your phone?

I don’t have a Windows phone, so I’m trying to track down whether it’s a browser or OS related issue.

The mobile menu functionality is built into the theme, so I’ll need to figure out exactly where the issue is and patch it in the core code.

No its not possible to put chrome on the windows phone. No version exists.

But if you have Visual Studio installed, you can use the mobile phone emulator.

    (@edge22)

Hmm I don’t have Visual Studio, but I’ll find a way to test this ASAP and will let you know.

The mobile menu works fine using IE11 collapsed on desktop, so I assume there’s something going on with the phone itself.

    Will get back to you.

Let me know if I can help. I am a web developer. I have been looking around for debugging tools so I could narrow down the cause, but there does not seem to be any.

Well, I tried my best to find a Windows phone to buy – couldn’t find one.

However, I’ve been re-writing the code to use vanilla JS instead of jQuery, so I wonder if this issue is somehow fixed.

Can you test on this site?: https://tomusborne.com/dev/

    Let me know ??
