• I have 2 menu links – one works, but the other [retreat] opens an Index Directory {Index of retreat/} showing two hyperlinks; Parent Directory, and cgi-bin.

I can’t figure this out. I’ve checked for duplicate slugs in the database, purged trash, and cache, redone the menu… nothing.

Advertising for the retreat goes out with the hyperlink time41more.com/retreat so it is imperative this link works.

In the interim I’ve changes the menu to make something that works, but still want to figure out potential conflicts.

Please identify exactly which theme you are using and then post in that theme’s dedicated forum via its page in the Theme Repository so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

@morerog – It appears to be treating /retreat as a sub-domain reference versus a more common page/URL reference. Have a look at your sub-domains and what has been set-up there and/or check with your web-hosting service if you are not able to find/fix this if that is the case.

I don’t see a WordPress page called ‘retreat’.

Meanwhile, there is an almost empty directory called ‘retreat’ so the host ‘Apache’ finds it and returns that instead of WordPress being run.

If you can get rid of that empty directory you’ll then probably be offered a page from WordPress or else a 404 page from WordPress first.

If you then get a 404 then you’ll need to create the page else WordPress will show you what you want (or react to whatever damage you might have done while trying to fix the page). Either way you should be able to figure it out then or come back here for a little more help.
