Menu Items disappear after the 2.4.0 update

    All menu items disappeared after updating the plugin to 2.4.0

    Disabling the other plugins did not help to bring back the menu items…

    I suspect the problem occurs because of the WPML? I am using it on my site…

    Before updating the plugin I exported all the menu items and imported them after updating the plugin which all the menu items disappear, but importing them did not help. They still do not appear…

    Losing all the menu items is a very serious issue…

    Hi @tomblank,
    Thanks for contacting us. I’ve updated the plugin locally and did not lose any menu item. Could you try to deactivate the plugin and activate it back?

    Dou you have WPML plugin installed on your WordPress?

    I tried deactivating and activating the Restaurant Menu plugin back, but the menu items did not come back…

    Hi @tomblank,
    No, I did not test it with WPML since you did not mention that. If you use WPML could you try to navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and click on “Set language information” as well as other buttons there?
    Did you install WPML before updating menu items (menu items were translated?) or after the update? Do you have a backup of your site?

    If you check my 1st post, I mentioned that I suspect WMPL because I am using it…

    WPML was installed “before the update”.

    There are lots of buttons at “WPML > Support > Troubleshooting” which ones exactly are we talking about? All of them?

    Yes I have backup…

    Hi @tomblank,
    have you clicked on “Set language information” button under WPML > Support > Troubleshooting?
    Could you submit a request to our support team (referring to current topic) in order to investigate the case further?

    Clicking on “Set language information” button under WPML > Support > Troubleshooting, “before the plugin update” solved the issue!

    Hmm, I just realised that the English menu items are disappeared… Turkish ones are there but the English page is empty…

    My bad. I needed to translate the menu items to appear on the English page…
