Menu Item Not Hiding

    Hello,
    We have been using your “Menu Item Visibility Control” plugin on our new development site for several months and it has been working fine to hide & restrict access to a particular menu item.

    However, it is no longer hiding the menu item. It will still restrict access and redirects to a login screen, but the menu item shows to both non-logged in users and logged in users.

    Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin – did not help.

    In the visibility box we are using: is_user_logged_in()

    Hello!
    Please first try disabling other plugins momentarily to test if the menu visibility still works; it could be that for example a caching plugin is caching the menu output once, thus showing the same result for both logged-in and not-logged-in users.
    If you have ruled out plugins, try switching the active theme and test the menu.
    Let me know of your findings and the details of your setup (what plugins you use, what theme, WP version, etc.), I’ll try to replicate the issue.

    Thank you for responding to my request.

    I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that the visibility problem could be due to a caching issue.

    Disabling all of the regular plugins did not help – toggling to another theme didn’t work either.

    But, then I realized that my ZenCache plugin was recently updated and will not work properly with my current PHP version. After turning ZenCache off, and clearing cache manually through my theme caching option, your visibility plugin started to work correctly again.

    So, I anticipate that once I update the site PHP, the problem will be resolved. Appreciate your help so much. Thanks again!
