Menu item displays page content (need help fast)

  • I installed a theme I’ve developed on a local server running wordpress 3.5, to a live server running wordpress 3.0.1. When I made a custom menu and added a page to it, my navigation now displays the title of the page AND all of the text from the page as a huge link. How do I make the menu show up correctly?

    I know I should update to wordpress 3.5 on the live server, but I can’t because it is running an older version of php. I’ll do it if it’s the only way but I’d appreciate a quick fix for now!

    I updated php on the server, and can now update wordpress to 3.5 on it. Will this likely solve the problem? I’m a bit hesitant on updating because I fear that the current theme will be broken, what do you think?

    Updating to WP 3.5 should fix the problem with your locally-developed theme, if that’s what you meant.
