Menu issues when Yoki is a secondary theme

When using Yoko as a secondary theme (to be used for mobile devices) it doesn’t use the customized menu, but instead uses all top level pages for the menu, which definitely doesn’t work. Can a non-activated theme use the primary theme’s menu or is there a way to choose a theme for a secondary/deactivated theme?

I’m using the WordPress Mobile Pack and have the necessary menu selected for a custom menu that is set to show in the Sidebar – First Widget Area.
